Course Description
This short course discusses the differences and interrelationships between Grief and Depression according to the DSM-IV. This is another course in a series on Grief and Loss by Dr. Gabriel Constans.
Course Objectives
1. Identify the characteristics of major depression and differentiate between grief and depressive reactions.
2. Recognize the components used in assessing, evaluating, and questioning the depressed or grieving individual.
3. Describe practical suggestions to assist those with grief and loss, depression, and anxiety.
