Many people assume that as we age we become more vulnerable to depression. The fact is, depression is more prevalent among the younger population. However, it is often an overlooked diagnosis among the elderly. This may be changing.

As a result of paying doctors to screen for depression - we're more likely to see an increase in this diagnosis among the elderly.
