Men & Depression
3 Standard ceus $9/0 NBCC ceus (Not Acceptable for NBCC hrs)
This course was adapted using material from the National Institute of Mental Health and is designed to provide information on the serious issues involved with depression and how it specifically affects the male population. Although studies may indicate that depression is much more prevalent in women than men, it is not actually known if it is truly less common in men, or if men are just less likely than women to recognize, acknowledge, and seek help for the condition. This course provides an overview of the types, symptoms, and causes of depression and how young boys, adolescent males, and men of all ages experience depression as well as treatment options

Quantum Units Continuing Education Operates under the Philosophy of ‘Giving Back’ to Community
On April 17, 2009 Margie Savage, CEO and Founder of Quantum Units Continuing Education, will be donating her left kidney to friend Gayle Chipman. Gayle has Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD). Her kidneys are currently functioning at 10%. Dialysis or Transplant is the only alternative to survival for those with PKD, an irreversible – progressive disease. The toll of this disease has emptied the pocketbooks and any leftover vacation and sick leave that Gayle and her supportive partner, Loren, have left from their places of employment.
If you would like to express and practice generosity in order to help the family with medical expenses – you may do so by going to a blog we have set up for Gayle at: http://gaylechipman.wordpress.com. Once at the website you will find information on ‘living kidney donation’ and Margie as well as information on Gayle. And don’t forget to click on the ‘donations’ link.
We sincerely thank you for any help you can give.
Thank you for allowing QUE to be your CEU Provider
Carol, Margie & Patrish
